One Lane 66 in Lincoln

This is the start of the one lane on the north side of Lincoln. The view is to the south. You can see the south-bound lane of the 66 bypass on the left. You can only see and enter this section from the south-bound lane.
This is the view to the north of the little gravel bit you can drive in from bypass 66 - southbound lane only! Once you're standing on this old concrete section, you can see how the road originally went straight along the telephone poles instead of the curve that's there now.
Here we are following down the old alignment. In pretty good shape...
Another view back north.
And then we get to this interesting intersection. This is the view to the southwest of a big pipe laying across the road. You are done driving at this point. On the left is the one lane road and on the right is the narrow two lane that I drove in on.
Here it is again. I'm standing on the pipe looking to the north. The one lane runs over to the bypass and appears to head directly for "Airport Road" on the other side of Kickapoo Street.
The end of the line. You can't see it here really, but the pavement continues on following next to the tracks up to where the bypass alignment has cut it off. The building you sort of see at the top left is the Budget Inn. It sits in between Kickapoo Street and Bypass 66.
This is the view to the north of the one lane continuing on behind the Graue Chevrolet dealership. This is a couple of buildings south from the Budget Inn. Drive into the dealers parking lot from Kickapoo Street and walk to the back of the main building.
Here is the view south. It disappears into a pile of dirt.
On the other side of the dirt pile is a junk yard and then this scrap metal company. Here is the view to the north of the old road reappearing. It's all covered with gravel right here.
The road turns just outside the gates of the scrap company and heads southeast towards Kickapoo Street. This is the view to the west.
View to the southeast. On the left is the parking lot of the Eagles Hall.
Here we are sitting on Kickapoo Street with the view to the west of the old one lane road. The building on the right is the Eagles.
